Mining activities at the operation are delivered via dual contractor and client team execution, a tier-one contractor executing underground development, whilst the client team runs underground production. Since acquiring the mine, Iron Cove Global has been involved in the shaping of the leadership group to assist with the businesses goal of doubling production within 2 years. Mine Development Manager

Reporting to the GM Operations, the position is tasked with client-side oversight and responsibility for the underground mining development contractor. The candidate’s prior notable roles were General Manager and Operations Manager positions on well-known African operating mines. The candidate was sourced via a referral and headhunted from a well-known West African underground mine.

Underground Mine Superintendent x 6

Iron Cove Global sourced 6 x Underground Mine Superintendents to lead, mentor and train underground production crews, with a goal of ramping up overall underground production. The entire team report to the Underground Manager and were all headhunted from other active positions on international projects with tier one contractors or notable mining companies.

Electrical Superintendent

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the position is tasked with leading, mentoring and supervising a team of electrical foreman, supervisors and Electricians. The successful candidate was headhunted from a well-known West African operating mine.

Chief Mining Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the position is tasked with 2IC duties to the TSM and oversight for a large team of technical staff with a headcount of 90+. The candidate was sourced from a well-regarded UG Australian operation and had prior expat experience from South America and Asia.
