About the Company Our client, an ASX-listed gold explorer focused in the WA Murchison Province, is seeking a
Senior Geologist to join their growing team. The company is well-funded, with a strong pipeline of high conviction prospects and defined drill targets scheduled for follow-up and advancement in 2026. The company’s flagship project is strategically located near major gold producers within one of Western Australia’s most prolific and well-endowed gold belts.
Position Overview The Senior Geologist will play a key technical and leadership role in planning, executing and interpreting exploration programs across the company's key project areas. The role requires a geologist with proven experience in Archaean orogenic gold systems, strong field leadership capability and the ability to drive discovery through geological insight, data integration, project management and effective team coordination.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage field exploration, including drill programs, mapping, sampling and target generation.
- Design and implement exploration plans aligned with the company’s technical and strategic objectives.
- Supervise and mentor subordinate geologists, field techs and contractors, ensuring quality control and safety.
- Support preparation of technical reports, cross-sections and presentations for internal review and ASX reporting.
- Ensure all activities meet environmental and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- Prior mineral exploration leadership experience, with a focus on Archean orogenic gold systems.
- Strong practical field experience across drilling program management, mapping, sampling, etc.
- Proficiency with geological software such as Micromine, Leapfrog or QGIS.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
- Valid WA manual driver’s licence and the ability to work on campaign basis.
