About the Company Our client, an ASX-listed gold explorer with a portfolio of orogenic gold projects across Western Australia, is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to join the team. The company is well-funded, with a strong pipeline of high-conviction prospects and defined drill targets scheduled for systematic testing in 2027 and beyond.
Position Overview The Senior Exploration Geologist will play a key technical and leadership role in planning, executing and interpreting exploration programs across the company’s WA gold projects. The role requires a geologist with proven experience in Archaean orogenic gold systems, strong field leadership capability and the ability to drive discovery through geological insight, data integration and effective team coordination. Perth office-based, with regular site presence during field campaigns.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage field exploration, including drill programs, mapping, sampling and target generation.
- Design and implement exploration plans aligned with the company’s technical and strategic objectives.
- Supervise and mentor geologists, field technicians and contractors, ensuring data quality, QA/QC and safety standards.
- Support preparation of technical reports, cross-sections and presentations for internal review and ASX reporting.
- Ensure all activities meet environmental, heritage and regulatory requirements, including Programme of Work approvals.
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- 7+ years’ mineral exploration experience, with a focus on Archaean orogenic gold systems in Western Australia.
- Registered DEMIRS Exploration Manager (or eligible/willing to complete on short notice)
- Strong practical field experience across drilling program management, mapping and sampling.
- Proficiency with geological software such as Micromine, Leapfrog or QGIS.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
- Valid WA manual driver’s licence and willingness to work on site during field campaigns.
