About the Company Our client, an ASX-listed mineral exploration company focused on orogenic gold discovery in Western Australia, is seeking a
Senior Exploration Geologist to join their growing team. The company is well-funded, with a strong pipeline of projects and a series of defined drill targets scheduled for execution in 2026. The company’s projects are strategically located near major gold producers within one of Western Australia’s most prolific and well-endowed gold belts.
Position Overview The Senior Exploration Geologist will play a key technical and leadership role in planning, executing and interpreting exploration programs across the company’s WA gold portfolio. The role requires a geologist with proven experience in Archaean orogenic gold systems, strong field leadership capability and the ability to drive discovery through geological insight, data integration, project management and effective team coordination.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage field exploration programs including mapping, geochemical sampling, aircore/RC/DD drilling and target generation.
- Design and implement exploration plans aligned with the company’s technical and strategic objectives.
- Supervise and mentor junior geologists, field technicians and contractors, ensuring quality control, safety and compliance.
- Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to refine structural and lithological models.
- Support preparation of technical reports, cross-sections and presentations for internal review and ASX reporting.
- Ensure all activities meet environmental, heritage and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- Prior leadership experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on orogenic gold systems.
- Strong practical field experience across mapping, sampling and drill supervision.
- Proficiency with geological software such as Micromine, Leapfrog or QGIS.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
- Valid WA manual driver’s licence and the ability to work on campaign basis.
