About the Company Our client, an ASX-listed base metals explorer headquartered in Perth, is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to join their growing team. The company holds a strong pipeline of high-conviction projects and defined drill targets scheduled for follow-up and advancement in 2026. Its portfolio spans prospective base metals systems with clear pathways for discovery and resource growth.
Position Overview The Senior Exploration Geologist will play a key technical and leadership role in planning, executing and interpreting exploration programs across the company’s project portfolio. The role requires a geologist with strong experience in base metals systems, proven field leadership capability and the ability to drive discovery through geological insight, data integration, project management and effective team coordination.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage field exploration activities, including drill programs, mapping, sampling and target generation
- Design and implement exploration programs aligned with the company’s technical and strategic objectives
- Supervise and mentor geologists, field technicians and contractors, ensuring high standards of safety and data quality
- Support the preparation of technical reports, cross-sections and presentations for internal review and ASX reporting
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Sciences
- Prior experience in a mineral exploration leadership position, ideally with exposure to base metals systems.
- Strong practical field experience across drilling program management, mapping and sampling
- Proficiency with geological software such as Micromine, Leapfrog or QGIS
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and communication skills
- Valid manual driver’s licence and willingness to work on a campaign basis
