About the Company
Our client, an ASX-listed mineral exploration company focused on orogenic gold discovery in Western Australia, is seeking a Project Exploration Geologist to join their growing technical team. The company is well-funded, with an active exploration pipeline and a series of priority drill targets scheduled for execution in 2026. Their projects are strategically positioned near major producing mines within one of Western Australia’s most productive and well-endowed gold belts.
  
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, the Project Exploration Geologist will take responsibility for the day-to-day execution of exploration programs, including mapping, sampling and drilling supervision. The role requires a motivated geologist with a strong understanding of Archaean orogenic gold systems, a practical approach to fieldwork and the drive to contribute to ongoing discovery success across the company’s portfolio.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of field exploration programs across multiple tenements.
  • Supervise and coordinate RC, diamond, and aircore drilling programs, ensuring data quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Undertake geological mapping, sampling, and data logging in support of target definition and resource growth.
  • Contribute to the interpretation of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
  • Prepare daily field reports, drill logs and support geological database management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
  • 2–7 years experience in mineral exploration, ideally within Archaean orogenic gold systems.
  • Practical experience in field operations, including drilling supervision, mapping and sampling.
  • Proficiency with geological software such as Micromine, Leapfrog or QGIS.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote field environments.
  • Current manual driver’s licence and ability to work on a roster or campaign basis.
