About the Company Our client, an ASX-listed mineral exploration company with a growing portfolio of base metal and gold projects across Western Australia, is seeking a Project Exploration Geologist to join their dynamic technical team. The company is well-funded, with an active pipeline of copper and gold-focused exploration programs and a series of priority drill targets scheduled for 2026. Projects are strategically located within established mining districts, surrounded by significant base metal and gold deposits.
Position Overview The Project Exploration Geologist will support the planning, execution and interpretation of exploration programs across the company’s gold and base metal projects. The role suits a driven geologist who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, has experience across diverse geological settings and is eager to contribute to new discoveries within a growing ASX-listed explorer.
Key Responsibilities - Assist in the design, planning and delivery of exploration programs across multiple commodities and tenements.
- Supervise and coordinate RC, diamond and aircore drilling activities, ensuring quality control, safety and efficiency.
- Undertake detailed geological mapping, sampling, and logging to support target generation and project development.
- Maintain accurate geological records, reports and database entries.
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- 2–7 years’ experience in mineral exploration, preferably across gold and/or base metal systems.
- Strong practical field experience in mapping, sampling, and drilling supervision.
- Proficiency with geological software (Micromine, Leapfrog or QGIS).
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Current manual driver’s licence and the ability to work on a roster or campaign basis.
