Iron Cove Global is currently supporting an ASX-listed metals company advancing the restart of a fully permitted, previously producing metals operation in Western Australia. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a near-term production asset with existing infrastructure, leading through final investment decision into development and production.
The Role Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Director will lead the execution of mine restart, overseeing all aspects of engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning. The project benefits from existing infrastructure, a defined reserve base supporting a multi-year mine life, a clear pathway to production and strong economics with rapid capital payback potential.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the delivery of a mine restart project in WA
- Drive execution milestones across construction and commissioning
- Manage owners teams as well as contractors and consultants
- Oversee development of the processing operation and supporting infrastructure
- Ensure alignment with budget, schedule and operational readiness targets
- Work closely with the MD and Board on strategy & project execution
- Position the operation for transition into steady-state production
Required Experience - Proven experience delivering mining or processing projects into production
- Strong track record in project execution and milestone delivery in a project leader position
- Prior mine restart or brownfields development experience highly regarded
- Engineering background preferred (Mechanical ideal, others considered)
- Commercially astute with strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
- Comfortable operating in a high-accountability and fast-paced environment.
