Overview Our client, a TSXV-listed junior explorer with a portfolio of copper-gold projects in Latin America, is seeking a President & Chief Executive Officer to lead the business. The role will assume full responsibility for corporate leadership, exploration strategy, capital markets engagement and business development, with a clear mandate to advance the company’s projects, raise the capital to do so and deliver long-term value for shareholders.
Key Responsibilities - Define and execute the company’s Latin American copper-gold exploration and growth strategy across its project portfolio.
- Provide leadership across geological, technical and project evaluation programs to drive discovery, resource growth and project advancement.
- Lead capital markets engagement, including equity raisings, institutional and retail investor relations, analyst and broker coverage, and ongoing market communication.
- Prepare and deliver news releases, corporate presentations, quarterly reporting and NI 43-101 compliant disclosure.
- Oversee corporate management, financial stewardship, budgeting and cost discipline across all activities.
- Work closely with the Board on strategy, governance and financing, including equity, strategic investment and project-level funding options.
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Geology, Engineering, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the mining and exploration industry, including at least 5 years in executive or corporate leadership roles.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within TSXV- or TSX-listed exploration or pre-development companies, ideally in copper-gold.
- Proven capital markets capability, with a track record raising equity and building institutional and retail investor support for a junior explorer.
- Operating experience in Latin America, with a working understanding of permitting, tenure, community and government engagement in the region.
