Role Overview We are seeking a digitally-savvy, creative and strategic
Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to elevate the digital presence and marketing strategy of both firms. This dual-role position will lead social media content development, brand messaging and online marketing initiatives across LinkedIn, email campaigns and web platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to brand growth, online engagement, client attraction and creation of business development marketing materials.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and manage social media calendars for both companies across platforms (primarily LinkedIn & X/Twitter).
- Design, schedule, and publish engaging content, including graphics, videos, job advertisements, market updates and deal announcements.
- Work closely with the Director to shape campaign strategies and messaging aligned with each business’s objectives.
- Manage e-newsletters and email marketing campaigns using tools such as Mailchimp or similar.
- Create marketing documents for business development purposes, using tools such as powerpoint and other MS Office based applications.
- Monitor performance metrics and generate reports on engagement, reach, and lead conversions.
- Conduct research and competitor benchmarking to help refine marketing strategies.
Skills & Experience Required - Bachelor Degree Qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Mining sector knowledge and experience is required for this role.
- 2+ year’s experience in digital marketing, social media coordination or communications (experience in B2B or professional services highly desirable).
- Strong ability with use of Powerpoint and MS Office based tools and applications.
- Proven ability to write and curate compelling content with a professional tone.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn and its use in corporate branding and B2B engagement.
- Comfortable with marketing tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple brands and shift tone/messaging accordingly.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and report progress to senior leadership.
