Overview Our client, a publicly listed explorer focused on North American base metals assets, is seeking a Managing Director to lead the business. The role will oversee all aspects of company management, exploration strategy, capital markets engagement and business development, with a clear mandate to advance a portfolio of high-potential projects and deliver long-term value for shareholders.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute the company’s North American base metals exploration and growth strategy
- Drive technical excellence across exploration, resource definition and project evaluation programs
- Oversee financial management, reporting and cost control across all project activities
- Lead engagement with investors, analysts, brokers and strategic partners to strengthen market presence and access to capital
- Prepare and deliver corporate presentations, ASX announcements and investor communications
- Identify and assess opportunities for M&A, joint ventures or asset-level transactions to support portfolio growth
- Lead due diligence, commercial negotiations and transaction execution
- Work closely with the Board to evaluate and implement financing strategies, including equity raisings, offtake partnerships and project-level funding
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in a technical, engineering, finance or related discipline
- Proven leadership within ASX-listed exploration or development-stage companies, ideally with exposure to North American base metals assets
- Demonstrated track record in exploration strategy, asset advancement and capital markets engagement
- Understanding of JORC frameworks, reporting requirements and corporate governance
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across technical, financial and investor audiences
