Our client, an established metals producer operating in Tasmania is currently searching for a HR Superintendent. With a strong focus on safety, sustainability and operational efficiency, the company is driving an improvement and growth phase and seeks to strengthen its leadership team. Position Overview
As HR Superintendent, you will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of all human resources functions at site. This includes workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training coordination, compliance and support to site leadership on people-related matters. This is a hands-on role requiring a practical, solutions-focused HR professional who thrives in a close team environment.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support to the site leadership team
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes for site-based personnel
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes in line with company policies and legislative requirements
  • Maintain and monitor workforce compliance including licenses, medicals and training certifications
  • Coordinate and deliver site inductions, training and development initiatives
  • Support workforce planning and organisational development activities
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work Act, EBA terms, workplace health & safety standards and site HR policies
  • Drive initiatives that promote a positive site culture and employee engagement
  • Maintain HR records, contracts and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
  • 5+ years HR generalist experience, ideally in the mining, resources or heavy industrial sectors
  • Understanding of Australian industrial relations legislation, Fair Work Act and EBA management
  • Demonstrated experience in a site-based or remote HR role is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Ability to work autonomously, be hands-on and manage competing priorities
