About the Company Our client, an ASX-listed gold exploration company with a portfolio of high-potential Archaean orogenic gold projects across Western Australia, is seeking an Exploration Manager. The company is well-funded and entering an exciting phase of aggressive discovery-driven exploration, with multiple advanced targets scheduled for systematic drill testing in 2026.
Position Overview The Exploration Manager will lead the design, planning, and execution of all exploration activities, from early-stage target generation through to drill program execution. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Archaean orogenic gold systems and a passion for discovery, coupled with strong leadership and operational management skills.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of exploration programs across multiple project areas.
- Oversee geological interpretation, 3D modelling and structural analysis to define high-quality drill targets.
- Manage and mentor a team of geologists and field personnel, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety.
- Ensure all exploration activities are completed on time, within budget and to the highest safety and environmental standards.
- Deliver clear technical updates, reports and recommendations to the executive team and board.
Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in a Geoscience-related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on Archaean orogenic gold systems.
- Proven success in managing drilling campaigns and exploration teams in Western Australia.
- Advanced geological interpretation and 3D modelling skills (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, QGIS).
- Excellent leadership, communication and reporting capability.
- Willingness to work both in the field and office environment as required.
