About the Company
Our client, an ASX-listed mineral exploration company with a portfolio of base metal and gold projects across Western Australia, is seeking an Exploration Manager to join the team. The company is well-funded and positioned for growth, with a copper/gold execution strategy outlined for 2026.
Position Overview This position will oversee the design, planning, and execution of all exploration activities, including target generation, field programs and drilling activities. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in orogenic gold and base metal systems with proven leadership and project management skills, capable of managing teams, guiding contractors and delivering meaningful results from the field to the boardroom.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the planning, budgeting and execution of exploration programs.
- Oversee geological interpretation, modelling and drill target definition.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary exploration team and field crews.
- Ensure programs are conducted safely, efficiently and within budget.
- Deliver technical updates, reports and recommendations to the executive team and board.
- Drive innovation in exploration methods, data integration and discovery strategy.
Qualifications & Experience - University qualification in a Geoscience discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in mineral exploration, ideally with exposure to both gold and base metal systems.
- Demonstrated success managing drill programs and exploration teams in Australia.
- Strong geological interpretation and 3D modelling capability (e.g. Leapfrog, Micromine, QGIS).
- Excellent leadership, communication and reporting skills.
- Willing to work in the field and corporate office with equal enthusiasm.
