Overview: An ASX listed critical minerals company spearheading the development and construction of a cutting-edge mineral processing facility in Australia. A Process Engineer is required to support the development and implementation of mineral processing techniques for the establishment of a unique, state-of-the-art production plant currently in construction. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in processing methodologies encompassing both pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and contribute to the design, optimization, and implementation of mineral processing methodologies to ensure efficient extraction and production.
- Apply extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in mineral processing techniques, equipment, and methodologies.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineers, researchers, and production staff to develop and implement efficient processing strategies.
- Ensure all mineral processing activities adhere to regulatory standards, environmental guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations on process performance, improvements, and findings for internal stakeholders and regulatory purposes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve any process-related issues or inefficiencies to maintain uninterrupted production.
Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or relevant field.
- Proven experience in mineral processing and extraction within the mining or minerals industry.
- Expertise in both pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and sustainable practices in mineral processing.
