Overview: Our client, a listed metals producer operating in NSW is currently searching for a Commercial Superintendent to join the leadership team. The role will oversee the site accounting team and manage financial activities and strategic commercial initiatives to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the mine.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead financial, budgeting, and cost control activities for the underground mine, ensuring adherence to financial targets and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and reporting on key commercial metrics, identifying opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align commercial strategies with operational goals, fostering positive relationships for mutual benefit.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, manage commercial risks, and implement strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the site accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar commercial/financial role within the mining or resources sector.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a dynamic and challenging mining environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the mining industry.
The role can be offered with FIFO, DIDO or residential options with the chosen candidate being awarded a competitive remuneration package in line with experience.
